His Excellency Kashim Shettima, GCON is the 15th and current Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He previously served as Senator for Borno Central from 2019 to 2023, and as the Governor of Borno State from 2011 to 2019.
Senator Kashim Shettima was born into the family of Shettima Mustafa Kuttayibe on 2nd September 1966 in Maiduguri. He graduated from the University of Maiduguri where he obtained a B.Sc in Agricultural Economy.
